This auction celebrates the beauty of ballet! The winning bidder will receive four tickets to the Pasadena Civic Ballet‘s June Show performance, “Somewhere In Time,“ and a gift card for four classes at the studio. The mission of the Pasadena Civic Ballet is threefold: - To provide quality instruction in the art and technique of dance, with an emphasis on ballet as the foundation for discipline and vocabulary. - To create performance opportunities to allow the dancers to grow as artists as well as develop self confidence, poise and presentation skills. - To provide a nurturing, supportive environment that emphasizes dance as an avenue to growth as an individual and as an artist through dedication, discipline, creativity, and camaraderie.
A note from we were one them: We invite you to support the Junior League of Pasadena by bidding on one or more of the amazing items in our silent auction flash sale! The funds raised from your participation will enable the League to continue supporting volunteers and community leaders as we work together on our focus area: supporting the development of women in our community by strengthening their business, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. The focus area has given life to a variety of projects under this umbrella including, but not limited to:
● Women’s Career Workshops covering topics such as resume writing and mock interviewing,
● Participation in the Little Black Dress initiative, a week-long social media awareness and fundraising
campaign to illustrate the restrictions poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources,
● Advocating for legislation focused on making it better for women in the workplace.
● Development Drives, in which members donate items ranging from portfolios to professional attire,
supporting the success of workshop attendees. A new initiative this year was a noteworthy Diaper Drive in which over 4,000 diapers were donated to families in need.
Thank you to our donors and bidders!
